March 6th, 2012 - My day!

Hello Every one!

Today's been a good day. I had a lot to do on my list, so I got started early...

First on queue - a 3 1/2 mile run with Robin at 6:00 a.m.

Nice hair, eh?

I was glad to get back and start up on the day... So much to do, yet so little time to do it all... I came back from the run to this:

Puppy would not stand still!

Check out that cuteness factor! On a scale from 1 to 10 = definitely 10 all the way!

She finally stopped moving!!!! Yay!!! Score!!!!!!!

Next, I had to get lunches ready for some hungry boys who were headed out for a loooong car trip... Mommy took Daddy, our brother, and Robin to the airport (headed to the same destination as the "hungry boys...") ;) When they left, I got some laundry done:

And then off to history class! (It was great, and we talked about some subjects that I've always been really interested in :))

We got home, I did some cleaning and chores, then I left for another 3 1/2 mile run - This time, with Maia!
She was so excited! :) (Cute puppy)

It was soooooo gorgeous and peaceful...

We got home, and I tried to get her to pose for a picture, but it was pretty much IMPOSSIBLE. Seriously, I don't think this puppy ever sits still... ever.

Oh well! Still, 3.5 miles + 3.5 miles = 7 miles, done and done!

I got back, made leftovers and roasted root veggies for dinner, and finished with an apple... YUM!

Well, bye! And, if you're wondering why we still have our Christmas lights up, don't ask! I hope ya'll had as good a day as I did!

A Musical Review

Hello Everyone,

It's been a while, I admit. But, that doesn't mean that nothing has been happening. A lot has happened since I last posted. The most recent (big) thing was probably our Musical Review on February 8th (I know, a REALLY looong time since I last posted). We put it on to raise money for an orphanage in Zambia, and it went fairly well, save for some sound problems... Here are pictures:

Oh! It's a jolly holiday...

Smile, darlin', smile!

Here are some pictures from recent events: (I promised, remember!)

Anna and her gigantic squash (gigantic for us, at least - we're terrible gardeners)

Margaret, hunting and wearing that FABULOUS hunter's orange

And, our fantastic brother turned 20! Yay! Get out the party hats! (two months ago)

Hunting

We went elk hunting a few weeks ago (Robin, Margaret, Maria, our brother, and our brother in Christ). It was so much fun, and, guess what? We didn't get any thing. Figures... huh? :)

The very first day, my brother and I (Margaret) were sitting in a group of trees, looking out on a BIG meadow, searching for elk. All of a sudden, I heard crackling behind us. Twenty yards away, there were seven elk. I turned, they bolted, I trained my gun on one of them (trotting away from me), took the safety off, and pulled the trigger. My gun didn't go off, because, surprise! I had the safety halfway on and halfway off. That was really really sad, because, before I could pull it off all the way, they had dashed off into the woods. I have to admit, I'm WAY too indecisive.

Of course, I still had lots of fun, but I couldn't help but be disappointed going home. Next time, I'm going to treat the first elk I see like it's the last one I see (because, this time, that was true). And, to move on to my final point: We really ought to see our lives like that. I'm not a bold person. I'm a wimp (there, I said it). I'm convicted all the time that I don't share my love for Christ enough. It is pretty hard to just start witnessing to some one about the Lord, but I feel like I just haven't done it enough. I need to be treating time I spend sitting next to some one on an airplane, standing next to some one in line, talking to some one in the library like it is the last time I can share my faith with any one. In reality, I think I need more boldness, so I'm gonna pray for that! There's no being indecisive in this life. Any ways, just some very random thoughts.

I'll post pictures someday...

OH, BY THE WAY: PRESS PLAY ON THE PLAYLIST! IT'S A NEW ONE, AND I LOVE ALL THE SONGS! ;)

Why, Hello!

It's been a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very long time. Ok, now, that could be a bit of an exaggeration, but, hey, who's counting? Moving on... We've been really busy, and have been having sooooo much fun. Here's the scoop:

May: We had a memorial day picnic with our church, which was really fun. We also celebrated my Sweetest Sixteenth birthday, and had a fantastic month overall.

June: Our annual CHEC conference was during that month. Also, Robin, our brother, and I (Margaret) ran a 1/2 marathon. It was so wonderful, and an amazingly beautiful course as well! I LOVED it, and it felt a lot easier than I thought it would be. (Of course, it was 75% downhill, but the feet above sea level was in the 9000's.) Fun, fun, fun... Yay!!!!!!!!!! We've also started on crazy summer things, like playing soccer and Frisbee at the park every. single. week., climbing trees, and rappelling.

July: We're planning a camping trip this coming week, and, we should be able to start hiking some 14ers which should be really fun.

Also, in August, we're planning some thing so Extreme and so fun it's gonna be a blast... If we're able to do it. ;) And then, I'm thinking about getting a dog - a Siberian Huskie to be precise. I've been contacting people and preparing, so it might just happen, but, we'll see. Oh, and we have a Family Camp in August too.

Well, the feeling of a GREAT summer is in the air. I can hardly wait for every thing to start happening!

Great Britain Part 1 (And most likely, last part)

Well, I haven't been here since the Dark Ages, so I hope everyone remembers us. In the last post, I, Margaret mentioned that Robin and I were heading off to England for about three weeks. We've been here (England) for a little over two of those three weeks, and have forgotten the camera... haha... Just Kidding! Gotcha! Here's some pictures. Oh, by the way, we've come over here to help our aunt who had her first baby, so you'll probably see some pictures of the most handsomest, adorablest baby in the world, and you'll know who that is. Yes'm! ;)

Westminster Abbey, and all her glory

Tiredness...

The British Museum -It's HUGE! ;)

Margaret - outside the British Museum

At the British Library - Don't you wish your library was this big?

At the British Museum - studying the Egyptian artifacts

View of the great court from above - at the British Museum
Yeppers... darling little boy

Sarah M. and Margaret in one of the assembly rooms at Bath

Margaret at the ruins of Old Salisbury

The Royal Crescent at Bath (Jane Austen's home)

We also visited The Fashion Museum while in Bath

Stone Henge

A Lovely Ship

Odd name for a restaurant, don't you think?

Flowers at Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle

I kept on seeing this group of guards marching around the castle grounds

Both of us - Robin looks so fantastic. I, on the other hand... Bleh! :)

We visited The Cabinet War Rooms that shared a big part of Winston Churchill's life. They were my favorite part of the entire trip

A maiden sitting within the halls of Westminster Abbey

A graceful swan gliding across the smooth surface of the pond in the middle of Hyde Park (how did that sound?)

We visited lovely Hyde Park, and walked around a bit

While we were at it, we decided to pay a visit to Harrod's (the famous outrageously priced department store)

There were some nice looking clothes, though...

Westminster Abbey

Trafalgar Square

That is NOT Big Ben. Actually, Big Ben (to be perfectly correct), is the sound the bell makes inside the clock tower. Yay! I actually got that one right.

The London Eye - Largest Ferris Wheel in the World

It's springtime, and the blossoms are on the trees...

Buckingham Palace... and 100s of Tourists

Didn't I tell you he was handsome?

The 1st day we were here, I was so excited about riding on a double decker bus, that I took tons of pictures. The excitement has slowly worn off...

Right before we left - Robin and Anna
